What to do with ?

In 2021 I moved to Poland. At the time I worked for Breedveld as a continuous improvement engineer. For my relocation it was not possible to hold that position, but as they were looking for new ERP-software I helped them in their search to find a suitable solution that fits their requirements. One of their main requirements was an ERP software with an integrated product configurator. Something that was a challenge that left little choices. At some point I came along Odoo that indeed had a product configurator on board and was also a very affordable choice, besides the fact that it is open source, which means adaptable. Although the product configurator did not have all the requirements Breedveld needed, the fact that it was extendable with thousands of 3rd party apps and also customizations that could be made by any software company made it possible to fet Odoo to all the needs Breedveld had. After a Demo from Odoo and a discussion about the project Odoo brought us in contact with Dutchworld IT Solutions or Odoologic. Odoologic made Odoo to a complete fit for Breedveld. At the time I was already working for Odoologic so I build the configurator together with the rest of the Odoologic team. I have been creating other apps and giving support for Odoo ever since. Of course at Odoologic we also use Odoo our selves on a daily basis, for project planning / -managing, time sheets, HRM, sales, accounting, helpdesk management, knowledge, CRM, contact management, subscriptions, time off management, electronic signment of contracts, website, employee expenses administration, planning, marketing, surveys and purchase management.
Odoo has everything in one package a company needs except for some very department specific software like drawing (CAD - CAM), image editing, software development EDI, etc. Although there are 3rd party addons for integrating CAD software like Inventor, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Top Solid, etc. to exchange BOM data, properties and documents with Odoo and for development there are GitHub integrators that exchange branche data, deployment data, releases and commits with Odoo.
